Throughout 2024–2025, Rishilpi Foundation continued supporting poor, marginalized and vulnerable communities across Satkhira through food security, education, healthcare, disability inclusion, disaster response, livelihoods, rehabilitation, climate resilience, WASH, gender development and training initiatives.

Satkhira remains highly vulnerable to poverty, food insecurity and climate-related disasters. During the reporting year, Rishilpi Foundation continued working with communities to address immediate needs while creating opportunities for greater dignity and self-reliance.

We sincerely thank the local administration, local government, Management Committee, consultants, staff, volunteers and supporters whose commitment made this work possible.

Integrated support for resilient communities

Disability Development

Supported persons with disabilities through rehabilitation therapy, education, IGA assistance, accommodation, relief and assistive materials.

249 therapy participants · 25 education support recipients · 21 IGA recipients · 24 disability-material recipients · 105 relief recipients

Education Support

Helped disadvantaged children continue their education through sponsorship, books, notebooks, pens and tuition assistance.

36 students supported — 12 boys and 24 girls.

Food Support

Provided monthly food assistance to elderly people, persons with disabilities, beggars, people living alone, children and other highly vulnerable households.

25 monthly food packages containing essential food and household items.

Disaster Management

Responded to coastal emergencies with food and basic relief supplies.

532 people received emergency relief.

IGA Support

Helped vulnerable households build sustainable income sources.

9 livelihood supports — 4 vans, 3 sewing machines and 2 cows.

Medical Support

Improved access to basic healthcare for vulnerable communities.

245 treatments · 201 medicine distributions · 1 eye camp · 18 blood distributions.

Rehabilitation

Supported homeless, landless and disaster-affected households with housing-related assistance.

7 surveys · 1 land purchase support · 4 house repairs.

Climate Change

Strengthened awareness and adaptation capacity among coastal communities.

1,000 plants distributed · 24 discussion meetings · 1 adaptation training.

WASH

Improved access to safe water and sanitation.

5 tube wells · 11 sanitary latrines · 3 community water filters.

Gender & Protection

Promoted women’s rights, gender awareness and protection from trafficking and violence.

Community meetings, school and college campaigns, skills training, rallies and awareness activities.
